This small booklet was published in 1978. It presents the most popular gymnocalycium with 36 B&W pictures. Excellent for the beginner.\\ 
"Bill" Putnam was a British (English) industrial chemist and horticulturist, with a special interest in //Gymnocalycium//. He started a mixed collection of cacti in 1954. Editor of the National Cactus & Succulent Journal 1970-1976, founder member of the //Succulent Plant Institute// (later //Trust//) in 1962, and editor of the //Succulent Plant Trust Newsletter// 1969-1992.\\
