Gert Cornelius Nel (1885-1950) published this book in 1946. It was the first book devoted to lithops. There are many B & W pictures and nice painted color plates although colour films were available at that time.

If this book is no as attractive as the books by Sprechman (1970) or by Desmond and Naureen Cole (1988 and 2005), this is because time goes on…
