Now that I have a faster internet, I will be using the English side more. My orthography (spelling) in French is atrocious, and it is painful for even me to read my posts, so I will stick to the English side.

These are the fruit still hanging on to the one cactus native to Pennsylvania. Opuntia humifisa. This plant lives through the winters when the temps get to -25C. It also lives through the 100 to 125 cm of rain we get here. The fruit are also good to eat until the spring when they turn black and fall off.

I have similar plant but is not giving any fruit. Do you use any fertilizers ?

I never fertilize the outside plants. If your plant doesn't bloom, maybe it needs more sun?

Oui, oui, c'est vrai, it is nice here. The winters are like Warsaw, the summers are like Brazzaville! But the springs are from March to June, and the autumns are from Sept to Dec. Bring your cactus and come over.
