This is an interesting booklet published in 1973. It gives the original descriptions (Latin diagnoses and english translations), together with observations by various authors for each species and varieties. These data help the reader understanding the diferences between taxa that are now considered as synonyms. Culture tips are also given for each groups dealt with.

The booklet deals with Tephrocactus (pentlandii, glomerata, diademata, sphaerica groups) and related groups: floccosa (O. floccosa et O. lagopus) and corrugata. Some other “unassigned plants” are also dealt with. About 70 B&W pictures are included.
