Hello from a cool Pennsylvania. After reading the posts about the cold wave in France, I thought I'd share these pics. Temperatures of -6 and -8 might be rare in parts of France, but on this side of the pond that's a heat wave. We usually get to -20 every winter, and most mornings are below freezing. In Quebec -30 is common, but everybody has a heater. We only got down to -1 last night (and it only got to +3 all day), but this is what we saw this morning.
Salut Philippe. Yes, the Gulfstream helps, especially Britanny and Normandy. I've been to both in March and the temps were warmer than here.
This week will be the coldest so far. The forecast is for temps to only be about -6C at noon on Thursday. It will go back above 0°C on Saturday. I love winter, so those temps are not so bad. I hope the pond freezes so we can skate like they are doing in Holland today.
