A nice weed of sorts, it makes a ton of flowers in the fall before dying. The stumps come to life in the spring.
Salade pour du monde comme alain, but we like him anyways.

That's not the asian Cyanotis kewensis but the mexican Tradescanta sillamontana, a vigorous plant to grow outdoor in full sun to get a nice compact habit.
